I joined Kiefa as the founding designer and fifth hire, embedding directly with engineering to take the product from beta with zero users to a production platform serving thousands of daily users across the country.
Working closely with the CTO and CEO, I owned design end to end: shaping product strategy, roadmap definition, UX, and systems while supporting marketing and sales along the way. The platform unified fragmented, offline cultivation workflows (compliance documentation, staff training, labor tracking, task scheduling, yield forecasting, and lab testing) into a single operational system.
In a highly regulated environment, we enabled teams to manage SOPs, automate training with AI-generated quizzes, and ingest bulk lab results to surface insights that previously took hundreds of manual hours per week.
A defining part of my role was establishing continuous user research through weekly interviews, on-site facility visits, and implementing Dovetail as our insight repository, ensuring every roadmap decision was grounded in real user behavior rather than assumptions.

Task board designed to coordinate daily labor across rooms and growth stages. Admins can define task types, time estimates, and instructions, then automate schedules to keep teams aligned and operations running smoothly.
Technicians can view assigned tasks, start work, and track actual labor time in real time. Built-in access to SOPs, materials, and measurements helps ensure consistent execution, quality, and safety on the floor.
Admin dashboard that provides a high-level view of operations across the entire facility. Designed for leadership, it surfaces key trends and performance metrics at a glance without requiring deep involvement in day-to-day workflows.
Comprehensive strain deep-dive that centralizes every data point collected across the platform. Historical performance, test results over time, and operational metrics come together to give growers a level of visibility that was previously fragmented or unavailable.
